Francois Barcomb (b. 1969) is a high school physics teacher. He is known for becoming just the second player to win the Teachers Tournament and make it to the finals of the Tournament of Champions.

In the third quarterfinal game, he faced off against Alexandra Bicks and Vicki Leibeck-Owsley. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 29/33 correct responses (including 0/2 Daily Doubles). Nobody got Final correct, but Francois automatically advanced to the semifinals via runaway. Alexandra and Vicki received $5,000 as their scores, $5,199 and $1,000, respectively, were not enough to advance as wildcard.
In the second semifinal game, he faced off against Benjamin Schwartz and Julia Rosinski Bailey. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 21/24 correct responses (including 1/2 Daily Doubles). He and Julia got Final correct. Francois advanced to the finals. Benjamin and Julia received $10,000.
In the finals, he faced off against Conor Quinn and Sara DelVillano. Throughout the finals, he came up with a combined 43/45 correct responses (including 3/3 Daily Doubles). He and Conor got Final correct in both games. Francois' runaway made him the $100,000 champion.
Tournament of Champions[]
In the fifth quarterfinal game, he faced off against Ryan Fenster and Steven Grade. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 24/24 correct responses (including 2/2 Daily Doubles). Everyone got Final correct. Francois advanced to the semifinals via runaway. Steven's $18,400 was enough to advance as wildcard, while Ryan's $8,000 was not enough, taking home $5,000.
In the third semifinal game, he faced off against Gilbert Collins and Lindsey Shultz. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 18/19 correct responses (including 1/1 Daily Double). He was the only player correct in Final and advanced to the finals. Gilbert and Lindsey received $10,000.
In the finals, he faced off against James Holzhauer and Emma Boettcher. Throughout the finals, he came up with a combined 18/21 correct responses. He was the only player who got 1/2 Final correct, but after losing to James, he received $50,000 for second runner-up.

- Just as Colby Burnett has performed well after appearing in other tournaments, it is likely that he will be invited to another tournament in the near future.
- Among the winners of other tournaments participating in ToC, he is the participant with the most consecutive wins (7 consecutive wins - Ryan Fenster), and this was maintained until Sam Buttrey.
