The Jeopardy! Teachers Tournament is a special 2-week event that features up to 15 teachers from all over the U.S.A. The layout is the same as the Tournament of Champions and other 2 week tournaments. There are 5 quarter-final rounds in the 1st week. The winners move on into the semi-finals on the 2nd week and the 4 high-scorers among non-winners will advance as well. The winners of the semi-finals advance to participate in a 2-day final. The Teachers Tournament has been held every season since its 2011 debut. The layout is the same as the Teen Tournament, the College Championship, and the Tournament of Champions, with winners receiving $100,000 and a guaranteed spot in the next Tournament of Champions.

2016 winner Jason Sterlacci was the only Teachers Tournament champion to advance to the semi-finals in 2017.

2012-B Teachers Tournament winner Colby Burnett made it to the finals of his Tournament of Champions and ended up winning the whole thing. He later competed in 2014's Battle of the Decades tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals, moving on to the semi-finals as a wildcard semi-finalist, but lost his semi-final game.

Burnett and 2015 Teachers champion Jennifer Giles, competed in the 2019 Jeopardy! All-Star Games, with Giles being drafted to Buzzy Cohen's team, and Burnett as a Team Captain, drafting Pam Mueller and Alan Lin. Both teams advanced to the wild cards, but Burnett's team moved to the finals.

2018 Teachers champion Larry Martin, died of pancreatic cancer before the Tournament of Champions.

2019 champion Francois Barcomb was the only champion to advance to the finals and finished in third place in 2019.
