New opening sequence: a maze lights up by passing through photographs until the blue marbled Jeopardy! logo reaches its destination at the end. Finally, the Jeopardy! logo zooms forward, revealing the 2013-2024 set.
The Daily Double, Audio Daily Double, and Video Daily Double graphics gained a new look to match the season's title card.

From this episode until the first one of 2016, Alex had successful knee surgery; so he remained at his podium throughout the whole game like he did the first three months of Season 28, due to mobility issues. This marked the last time a 3-way loss occurred in the Alex Trebek era. It was also the second instance to feature returning co-champions as a rare occurrence only applying to champions previously unable to return, and the first time after the co-champion rule was disestablished early last season. The copyright credits are now in the same font and color scheme as the contestant introductions and Final Jeopardy! winnings indicators.
