In the first quarterfinal game, he faced off against Anneke Garcia and Gilbert Collins. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 19/22 correct responses (including 1/2 Daily Doubles). He and Gilbert got Final correct, but after losing to Gilbert (in a come from behind win), he received a wildcard with his $16,800, while Anneke received $5,000 as her $4,799 was not enough.

In the first semifinal game, he faced off against Dhruv Gaur and Emma Boettcher. Throughout the first two rounds, he came up with 17/20 correct responses (including 1/2 Daily Doubles). He and Emma got Final right, but after losing to Emma, he and Dhruv took home $10,000.
