Michael G. Richards (b. July 5, 1975) is an American tv personality and executive producer.


Richards is known for producing numerous game shows, including The Price Is Right and Let's Make a Deal, and was the host of GSN's 2012 revival of The Pyramid and the network's 2017-18 U.S. version of Divided.

In 2020, Richards left Price and joined Sony Pictures Television, where he became the executive producer of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!, following the announcement of Harry Friedman's retirement on August 29, 2019.

Richards also served as an interim host on Jeopardy! from February 22 to March 5, 2021, after Alex Trebek's death on November 8, 2020. He also served as the host on the Season 38 premiere week. However, due to the controversy of his past offensive comments made, he stepped down as host but remained as the show's executive producer. On August 31st, 2021, it was reported that he was fired as the executive producer of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Michael Davies will serve as an interim executive producer.


He wore glasses while hosting Divided.
